We start right at the heart of the city, what some people call the Montmartre of Lisbon: Chiado, where century-old shops live next door to designer stores and historical cafés, like A Brasileira. Next, nearby, is Bairro Alto, with hundreds of restaurants, cafés and clubs for all tastes. With more than 500 years of history, it has been inhabited by sailors, Jesuits and even the high nobility! And, next to the church of São Roque, we admire the view from the Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara.

Then, after visiting the Carmo Convent and Church, and the Santa Justa Elevator, we cross Downtown Lisbon, Baixa, while talking about some of the town’s most important historical moments. And our journey continues through the streets of Alfama where every corner is, litteraly, a postcard. The uneven streets, the century-old houses, the tiled façades: everything here is incredibly picturesque and traditional.
