Our Lisbon Free Tour is the perfect intro to Lisbon, the city of 7 hills. Lisbon is one of Europe’s oldest cities and there’s a story around every corner. We will cover three different districts that together form the heart of this amazing city: Bairro Alto, Lisbon’s bohemian center; Chiado, the city’s cultural center; and Baixa, the shopping district.

Lisbon is 3.000 years old, and during this free walking tour we will share some of the city’s most iconic episodes and characters. Do you know who was the father of the Portuguese language? Ever heard the story of the Portuguese Oscar Schindler, Aristides Sousa Mendes? Who was the man behind the rebuilding of Lisbon after the earthquake of 1755? What famous spy stayed in Lisbon during World War II?

We’ll also dive into out city’s mysteries. Is there a cursed church in Lisbon? What Portuguese historical figures stand at the top of Lisbon’s monumental arch? These and many other stories are waiting for you in Lisbon, where you’ll learn the meaning of the word Saudade.
